Mount Vernon resident Andrea Garvey claimed a $3 million top prize after winning the New York Lottery’s Triple Jackpot 777 scratch-off game, New York Lottery officials announced on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

According to lottery officials, Garvey opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment of $1,386,630 after the IRS took their chunk.

The lucky ticket was bought at Memorial Stationery located at 414 East Sandford Blvd. in Garvey's home city, officials revealed.

If you're hoping to repeat Garvey's luck, there are still two top prizes remaining on the Triple Jackpot 777 ticket, officials said, adding that lottery players can check the status of the game by downloading the Games Report at nylottery.ny.gov.

Lucky winners such as Garvey aren't the only ones benefitting from the lottery, as nearly $155 million in Lottery Aid to Education funds were given to Westchester school districts out of the $4,406,338,198 in total scratch-off sales during the 2022-2023 fiscal year, lottery officials said.
